Professor Wlodzimierz Blasiak Vice President Strategy Mobotec Europe Wlodzimierz Blasiak is a Professor at Division Energy and Furnace Technology, Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. Since 2006, he has also joined Mobotec Europe AB. Professor Blasiak holds a PhD in applied thermodynamics and has performed research on combustion and heat and mass transfer processes in boilers and furnaces. For the past ten years, his main research subjects have been clean combustion processes particularly High Temperature Air Combustion and oxy-fuel combustion of gas and solid fuels like coal and biomass. Professor Blasiak has published more than hundred papers on these subjects. He has managed many research and industrial projects financed by Swedish and international agencies in cooperation with European and Japanese industries.
Robert G. Hilton Director, Global Business Development Environmental Control Systems ALSTOM Power, USA Robert G. Hilton currently serves as Director, Global Business Development, Environmental Control Systems at Alstom Power. In this position he is responsible for Technology, Marketing, Strategy and Communications for the company’s global Air Pollution Control Business. Hilton has been with Alstom for more than ten years and has held positions including Business Unit Manager, Ash Systems Director, and Strategic Development Director. Today, Hilton is responsible for the development of Alstom’s range of air pollution control technologies for SOx, NOx, Particulates, Mercury that covers product strategies, new product development, marketing, R&D budgeting and is notably responsible for Alstom’s CO2 capture R&D program for power generation. Hilton has been in the air pollution control field for over thirty years dealing with air pollution and its related issues of water and waste management.Hilton holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science and a MBA, Finance, from Drexel University, Philadelphia. Hilton is a member of the Board of Directors, Institute of Clean Air Companies. He is also the inventor of 15 US and foreign patents and applications and has authored numerous technical publications. 
Douglas Spalding Europe Business Development Manager Doosan Babcock Energy, UK After obtaining an Aeronautical Engineering degree at Glasgow University, Douglas worked in gas turbine development for Rolls Royce, then led a team at the National Engineering Laboratory undertaking R&D in process equipment engineering and software development. He has been at Doosan Babcock Energy Limited now for over 10 years and has used his skills and experience to identify new product, service and market opportunities on CCGT, coal fired plant and in the emissions reduction market. 
Frans van Dijen Consultant Laborelec, Belgium Graduated from the Eindhoven University of Technology and holds a MSc in Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Physical Chemistry-Technical Ceramics. He has published many technical papers and articles and has many years of engineering experience having worked for companies such as Electrabel part of the SUEZ group, EPON, INOTEC GmbH & Co, Kettenbauer GmbH & Co and LONZA-Werke GmbH . He joined Laborelec in 2002 and is active in biomass and waste process technology, gas turbines, and chemistry of water. |
